KONI showcases at Motorshow Essen 2016

    11/25/2016

OUD-BEIJERLAND, The Netherlands – KONI attends Germany’s biggest tuning show starting this weekend in Essen (DE) and presents its diverse range of shock absorbers, including new applications for track day use.

At this year’s Motorshow Essen - with over 550 exhibitors and 360.000 visitors - KONI will present the TrackDay Kit at a brand new stand. The 150 square meters KONI booth (stand number B143 in Hall 3.0) also features three spectacular cars, with strong DNA of Formula 1, Tuning and 4x4, all equipped with KONI.

The KONI | H&R TrackDay Kit is based on F1 damper technology, that KONI launched in the early 2000’s and is currently still being used in GP2, GP3, Formula 3 and GT Series. The kit features a complete damper and spring set for standard road use, but more specifically to have an optimum handling on the race track. Intended for models with either a strut suspension or a standard coil-over layout, KONI and H&R provide an up-side-down configuration of a mono tube damper. This structure allows a very high side load, combined with a very solid damper setup. KONI is initially developing the new Track Day Kit for a wide range of Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, MINI, SEAT and Volkswagen models. The price of the kit varies per individual application and will be around € 2,700 excluding VAT.

Apart from new applications and three breathtaking cars, visitors are invited to participate in the KONI Selfie contest, in order to win a free set of original KONI shock absorbers for their car.
