OUD-BEIJERLAND, The Netherlands – KONI’s newest defense application presented at IDEX in Abu Dhabi
AxleTech International is exhibiting at IDEX from February 19-23 in Abu Dhabi. The company will be displaying the newest 5000 Series variant in its line of Independent Suspensions Axle Systems (ISAS®) and included KONI’s HYDRORIDE ®, a new suspension solution specifically designed for defense applications.
AxleTech’s latest 5000 Series ISAS variant incorporates several new design features, including outboard brakes and lower component weight. While many suspension options are available, the displayed model at IDEX demonstrates suspension variations from KONI; including the new HYDRORIDE® self-contained hydro-pneumatic springs and dampers.
KONI recently expanded its scope and incorporated pneumatic springs and dampers in self-contained units, as alternatives to metal springs and dampers. This range of suspension solutions used in commercial and defense applications is known as the HYDRORIDE™ product range.
The HYDRORIDE™ provides an high performance, light weight and cost effective solution. Focused on both wheeled and tracked vehicles from 2 to 50 tonnes, the new applications will challenge the toughest of circumstances. It is a modular range of units that can be readily adapted to cover the majority of wheeled and tracked vehicle applications across a wide range of axle loads.
AxleTech’s 5000 Series ISAS product family is the heaviest line of independent suspensions for the defense industry, with axle capacities reaching 13.2 metric tons.
AxleTech is exhibiting in the U.S. Pavilion in stand 03-A08.
