KONI almost en route to China

KONI has put shock absorbers at the disposal of the orange Going Dutch bus and all following vehicles in order to support this initiative. Saturday, June 21, the moment is there: the orange caravan will depart to support Dutch sportsmen during the Olympic Games in Beijing.

 

The long orange procession exists of one city bus, 14 cars, and seven motorcycles. The departure from the Olympic Stadium in Amsterdam is the beginning of a more than 17,500 km rally to the Olympic city Beijing in China. Via the silk route, the caravan Going Dutch will arrive in Beijing around August 8, during the opening ceremonies of the Olympic Games.

 

The special journey will last around 50 days. The 42 adventurers will travel through countries such as Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Bulgaria, Turkey, Iran, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kirgizia, to finally arrive in China. During the rally Going Dutch will ask for attention and raise money for the Right to Play foundation. This organization brings sports and games to children in disadvantaged areas.
